Purdue moved to 11-1 on the year with an 88-60 win over Auburn on Saturday night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Led by Braden Smith, the Boilermakers just found good shot after good shot, hitting 55.9% of their attempts from the field including 46.2% of their looks from long range. Smith finished with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 14 assists on the game.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementAuburn wasn’t able to get much going on its end, relying more on isolation. The Tigers shot just 36.2% from the field and 28% from distance. Worse, Tahaad Pettiford left the game in the second half with a limp, entering the tunnel with training staff.
The Boilermakers have been rolling since a bit of a shock loss at home against Iowa State, easily dispatching Minnesota, Marquette and now Auburn.
Purdue returns to action on Monday, December 29, in a home matchup against Kent State at Mackey Arena in West Lafayette, Indiana.
