The Washington Commanders suffered another loss in Week 16, falling 29-18 to the Philadelphia Eagles.
The game wasn't even as close as the final score would indicate. The Commanders scored a last-minute touchdown and two-point conversion after being stuck at 10 points for the entire second half.

Unfortunately, Mariota suffered an injury halfway through the third quarter and did not return to the game. It seemed like Mariota's injury took all the wind out of the team's sails, and it was all downhill from there.
The fourth quarter even featured a brawl between the teams in which the Eagles' Tyler Steen and the Commanders' Javon Kinlaw and Quan Martin were all ejected.
The biggest positive from this game is that there are only two games left in the season. Now, let's try to identify some studs and duds from this mess of a game.
Stud: Bobby Wagner, LB
There aren't too many studs for this game, but we have to give some love to the veteran. Wagner was all over the field and gave his all on Saturday.

Dud: Wide receivers
The wide receivers for the Commanders did not impress today. Nobody had more than three catches or 53 yards today. Nobody was able to consistently get separation against a tough Eagles' secondary.
When you have your backup quarterback playing, your weapons need to make plays to help out. Nobody was able to do that today, and Treylon Burks ended up getting more targets than Deebo Samuel or Terry McLaurin.

Jacob Martin has been a great bargain for the Commanders this year. The veteran is on a cheap contract and has provided some valuable production on the edge.
Against the Eagles, one of the best offensive lines in the league, Martin was able to collect two tackles and one sack. The defender has probably done enough at this point to deserve a spot on the roster.
Dud: Offensive line
The offensive line did not perform well on Saturday. The Eagles collected two sacks, five tackles for loss, and held the Commanders to 3.5 yards per carry on the ground.
The line couldn't get any push on the big Eagles' linemen, and Mariota and Josh Johnson faced pressure all day. It was a tough assignment, but the unit still could've played better.

It seemed like the coaching staff gave up in the second half, or at least didn't have any answers. The offensive playcalling in the second half was unimaginative, and the defense had no answer for the Eagles' offense.
The Commanders got lucky in the first half as Jake Elliott missed two field goals. If it weren't for those misses, the Eagles would have led at halftime. However, Dan Quinn and his staff did nothing to extend that lead and instead played ultra-conservative, letting the Eagles get whatever they wanted in the second half.
