STILLWATER — Oklahoma State forward Robert Jennings II's season is officially over.
The Cowboys announced Friday night that the 6-foot-7 senior will be shut down for the season due to a lingering hip injury. Jennings said in a social media post from the university that he will medically redshirt.

Jennings was the lone returning player from last season's primary rotation. He had started all 35 games.
He last appeared in the Cowboys' win over Prairie View A&M on Nov. 12. He started the Pokes' first three games of the season and averaged 3.7 points, four rebounds and a steal in 13 minutes per game.
“It’s incredibly disappointing for Rob because of how hard he’s worked to get himself back on the court,” second-year OSU coach Steve Lutz said in a release. “He had surgery in the offseason to correct an issue with his hip, but unfortunately, it hasn’t responded the way we had hoped. After consulting with our medical staff, we’ve decided to shut him down for the season with the goal of getting him back to full strength.
