It’s fair to say Hype Brazil isn’t your traditional combat sports promotion.
On Wednesday, Hype Brazil put on a mixed-event fight card at the Farmasi Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with a prelims full of bare-knuckle fights, and a main card showcasing submission grappling. The event is headlined by a grappling match between Arman Tsarukyan and Muhammad Mokaev, and featured UFC heavyweight Valter Walker serving as ring announcer. But Walker didn’t stop there; he was also an on-the-fly matchmaker.

Then, shortly afterward, Walker convinced two men in attendance for the event, one the head of security and the other a fan, to step into the ring and put on a bare-knuckle fight.
Ultimately, the two men decided to give it a go, adding a 12th, unplanned fight to the card. Unfortunately, as exciting as the idea was, the bout proved to be less fun. The head of security quickly showed he had a little more fighting ability than the random fan, tagging him with a few shots to the body, leading the random fan to rethink the whole event and call it a night.
