Through the 2024-25 season, the Los Angeles Lakers have had a total of 506 players suit up for them, going back to their days in Minneapolis. Some were forgettable, some were serviceable, some were good and a select few were flat-out legendary.

During the Lakers' 80th season of existence (they were founded back in 1946 as the Detroit Gems in the National Basketball League), LeBron Wire is taking a look at each player who has worn their jersey, whether it has been a purple and gold one or the ones they donned back in the Midwest during their early years.

Keith Owens, a 6-foot-8 forward, was born in San Francisco, attended Birmingham High School in the San Fernando Valley and then played four years at the University of California, Los Angeles after making the team as a walk-on.

He played one season in the NBA during the 1991-92 campaign as an undrafted rookie with the Lakers. He appeared in 20 games and totaled 26 points, 15 rebounds, three assists, five steals and four blocks in 80 minutes.

Afterward, Owens spent the 1992-93 season playing pro basketball in France, and the following season, he returned to the States for a stint in the Continental Basketball Association (CBA). After that, he played one final year with Joventut Badalona in the Liga ACB, a pro basketball league in Spain.
