For a full decade, Nick Holz was a mainstay on the Raiders. Now after four seasons away, he's back. The team announcing Friday Holz is the new offensive pass game coordinator under new head coach Klint Kubiak.
Holz last season with the Raiders was 2021. From there he stayed in town to become the offensive coordinator at UNLV, leaving after a year to take the offensive pass game coordinator in Jacksonville. He has past two seasons as the offensive coordinator for the Tennessee Titans.

That's how far back he goes with the Raiders. For the next ten years, he was a mainstay with the Raiders through five coaches and two cities.
Holz is the second member of Kubiak's staff to be a former longtime Raiders assistant. Defensive line coach Travis Smith spent the exact same number of years at the exact same time as Holz, only on the defensive side of the ball. Smith was even with the Titans last season, just like Holz. Crazy how things can come full circle like that even once, let alone twice.
